Description
Grenna is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with stone quoins; the left-hand gable end is rendered. The roof is covered in 20th-century machine tiles. The house is two storeys and has an attic, with a two-storey wing attached. It features an integral dressed stone end stack to the left, with chamfered weathering; an external stone end stack to the right, also with weathering; and a central rendered stone ridge stack. There are two rendered gabled eaves dormers, each containing a 2-light metal and wooden casement window. The front elevation originally had a two-window arrangement, with boxed 16-pane glazing bar sashes and wooden lintels. A 20th-century flat-roofed canted bay has been inserted on the ground floor to the right. A lower addition is visible to the right, indicated by a straight joint. The right-hand end contains the entrance and has a single 2-light wooden-framed metal casement window on each floor, also with wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
