Description

Greenhead House, formerly known as the Red Lion Inn, is an 18th-century house that was enlarged in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed, roughly-squared stone with stone slate roofing. The north elevation features two storeys and three wide bays, arranged irregularly. On the left side, there is a projecting one-storey wing with an extruded porch on the right. The porch has a boarded door set in an alternating-block surround, and the right return of the porch features stepped gable coping. To the right of the porch, there are two small sash windows that have lost their glazing bars, with 16-pane sashes located above. The gables are coped and have moulded kneelers, while there are corniced end stacks and a rendered ridge stack.

Inside, there is an 18th-century fireplace that has a raised block at the head of each jamb.
