Description
The Old School is a building dating from around 1840, originally constructed as a school and now serving as a house. It is made of roughly-coursed stone with tooled quoins and dressings, topped by a slate roof. The building is single-storey and features three bays. It has large two-light mullioned windows that contain iron-latticed cross casements, along with coped gables and end stacks. To the left, there is a lower porch that includes a 16-pane sash window set in an earlier door opening. The rear elevation displays two similar two-light cross casements. There is a later extension to the north that is not of interest.
