Description

Sherne Cottage is an early to mid-18th century cottage made of light red brick. It has two storeys and features two irregularly placed windows. The roof has been replaced with modern ridged tiles, and there are chimneys at both the center and ends of the building. A stepped brick eaves cornice is present, with the top course appearing to be a later addition. The first floor has small windows that interrupt the cornice, and these are fitted with modern leaded casements. The central door is half-glazed and set within a narrow architrave, featuring a 19th-century wooden doorcase with pilasters and an entablature, all beneath a modern hood.
