Description

Nos 42 and 44 Haughton Green are mid-18th century buildings that have undergone some alterations. They are two-storey structures with two windows each, built of old pinkish brick. The roofs have been renewed with modern ridged tiles, and the right end chimney has been partly rebuilt. The buildings feature a brick stepped and dentilled eaves cornice. The sash windows have been replaced and are set in flush wood architraves, with flat gauged brick arches on the ground floor, except for two later 19th-century canted bays on No 42. Each building has four-panel doors, with No 44's door located under a later pedimented hood supported by brackets.
