Description
Archway House is an early to mid-19th century, two-storey house located on the north side of Haughton Green. The building features four windows on the first floor and has a low-pitched slated roof with two ridge stacks. The walls are made of pinkish brick. The first floor has gauged flat brick arches above recessed sash windows that include glazing bars. Below, there are two mid-19th century canted bays, which are adorned with pilasters and an entablature, and also feature sash windows with glazing bars. To the right, there is an elliptical arched carriage entrance, which has stuccoed voussoirs, leading to a doorway on the right return. The entrance includes a four-panel door with a patterned oblong fanlight, surrounded by a pilaster and entablature.
