Description
No 9 Haughton Green is a mid-18th century building that has undergone some alterations. It is two storeys high and features three fairly large windows. The building has a high-pitched swept roof, which has been renewed with modern ridged tiles, and it includes end chimneys made of old brick. The exterior is constructed of pinkish-red brick.
The upper sash windows, which have lost their bars, are two-light on the outer sides and are set in wooden architraves beneath stuccoed lintels. On the ground floor, there are late 19th-century canted bay windows with entablatures and hipped lead roofs, flanking a central six-panel door with a fanlight, all within a narrow wooden architrave. Only the pilasters remain of the original doorcase. Additionally, there is a late 19th-century gabled trellis porch. The building is included partly for its group value.
