Description
This is a wall with an entrance arch and a mounting block, located opposite Nos. 19 to 22A. The structure is likely from the medieval period and the 18th century. It is built from coursed squared sandstone with ashlar dressings. The high wall encloses the Cathedral precinct and features two wide buttresses with offsets and a flat stone coping. The arch in the wall is two-centred, slightly chamfered, and includes a keystone. The mounting block, which has three steps, is positioned alongside the wall to the left of the second buttress.
