Description
No. 16 Front Street is a house dating from the late 18th century. It features painted render with painted ashlar dressings and has a Welsh slate roof with a brick chimney. The building stands three storeys high and has two windows. To the right of the centre, there is a renewed six-panel door with a plain small overlight beneath a flat stone lintel. A larger overlight and flat stone lintel are above a boarded yard door to the right. The left side has a canted bay window with renewed glazing and painted projecting stone sills. The first-floor windows have similar sills and flat stone lintels, while the smaller second-floor windows are set against the eaves. Most windows have been renewed with pivoting upper lights that feature glazing bars designed to mimic four-pane sashes, and the canted bay has renewed sashes. The roof includes a renewed brick chimney at the left end.
