Description

No. 14 Front Street is a late 18th-century house. It is rendered with painted ashlar dressings, and has a roof of pantiles with stone gable copings and brick chimneys. The house is three storeys high with a single window front. A renewed panelled door is located to the right of centre, set in plain reveals. To the right of the front door is a boarded yard door with a painted tooled flat stone lintel and irregular block jambs. Renewed plain sash windows are set in wide boxes; a window is located on the ground floor to the left, and another above the front door on the upper floors. These windows have projecting stone sills and plain reveals. The steeply pitched roof has a left gable coping on a moulded kneeler, and a corniced brick chimney at the left end.
