Description

No. 46 Claypath is an early 19th-century house featuring a rendered exterior with a plinth and painted ashlar dressings. The roof is made of graduated Lakeland slate, complemented by stone gable copings and a chimney constructed from brick and ashlar. The building has three storeys and two bays. On the left side, there is a two-panelled door with an overlight set in a deep reveal of a Tuscan doorcase. The late 19th-century sash windows have shouldered raised surrounds and projecting stone sills. Additionally, there is a foot-scraper recess, and the right return gable is supported by a curved stone kneeler.
