Description

No. 11, Corve Street is a late 18th-century house. It is constructed of brick with an ashlar plinth and a slate roof of a shallower pitch to the front. The roof has a brick ridge and end stack. The house is three storeys high with a cellar, and has a five-window front. The early 20th century windows are plain sashes set within gauged brick flat arches, each with a painted stucco keyblock above. The eaves are moulded wood. The front roof pitch was likely raised at some point. A central six-panel door with a fanlight is set within a plain doorcase featuring pilasters, and is topped by an open pediment hood. To the right of the door is a plain sash window, and to the left, another plain sash and a four-panel door with a fanlight, which is set within a semi-circular gauged brick arch with a keyblock.
