Description
Number 9 is a building that dates back to 1739 and is now used as offices. It features a brick construction with a stucco basement, along with a brick end stack and a stack at the rear. The building has a two-unit plan and stands three storeys high with a basement, displaying a six-window range with nine over six sash windows. There is a storey band and a parapet with stone coping.
The ground floor has steps leading up to a pair of 19th-century, four-panelled doors with plain overlights, which are sheltered by a moulded flat hood supported by brackets and fluted pilasters. The steps are flanked by 19th-century cast-iron railings that enclose basement areas, which feature late 19th-century bays with one over one sash windows on the ground floor. To the right, there are double doors set under a segmental brick arch.
