Description
No. 8 Corve Street is a house with an early 18th-century front that likely has a core dating back to the 17th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a Welsh slate roof with a shallow pitch at the front. It has brick stacks at both ends and the rear, which are adorned with dentilled bands. The house is three stories tall and has a four-window range. The windows are late 19th-century plain sashes set in moulded cases and are topped with segmental arches. A brick band runs along the façade, with shorter plain sashes above. The eaves are decorated with moulded wood modillion. To the right, there are stone steps leading to a six-fielded-panel oak door, which is in a plain case and has a weather hood supported by pilasters. Stonework is visible on the right gable, indicating that the building was refronted and raised in two phases. There is also a single-storey wing to the right.
