Description

This is a three-storey house with a cellar, likely dating to the late 18th century, but with a possible core from the 17th century. The front is painted brick, with rubble sections, and has a plain tile roof, along with brick ridge and end stacks. It has a five-window front with mostly 6/6 sash windows under gauged brick flat arches. A storey band runs across the front, above which is a parapet with brick coping. The central doorway has six fielded panels within a beaded frame, topped with a moulded flat hood supported by grooved consoles, fixed onto door jambs. A passage on the left side has a blocked doorway and stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. To the left are two early 19th-century 6/6 sash windows under gauged brick flat arches, with a storey band above. To the right is a similar early 19th-century 6/6 sash in an altered opening. The right return side features a rubble gable with 18th-century brickwork for the chimney. A two-storey wing at the rear has a 19th-century 6/6 sash window under a segmental arch, a storey band, and a ground floor casement partly under a segmental arch. There’s also a partly glazed door and overlight, and another storey band. Further rear ranges have rubble to the ground floors with brickwork above and leaded lights. A 19th-century brick malt house range is also present. A firemark is affixed to the building.

Inside, a corner fireplace on the ground floor front has an ornate grate and surround. The ground and first floors feature moulded ceilings and panelling. There are 17th and 18th-century two and four-panel doors, exposed timbers, and a dogleg staircase with stick and spat balusters.
