Description
This milestone, located approximately 110 metres south of Greenfield Cottages, dates from the late 18th century and was originally part of the West Auckland to Corbridge turnpike. It is made of ashlar stone and has a quadrant-section block shape, standing about half a metre high with a flat top. The north face features the incised letters "WA12," while the south face displays "C18" in Roman capitals.
