Description

Pecknell Farmhouse is a large farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The front of the building is incised rendered, while the sides are dressed stone and the rear is coursed rubble. It features a stone-flagged roof and stone chimney stacks.

The main block has a gabled wing attached to the rear of the right side, and the entrance is located on this right return. The house is two storeys high and has three wide bays, with flush quoins and a band at the first floor. The end bays project slightly and have two-storey canted bay windows. The central window on the ground floor is a 4-pane sash, and above it is a 16-pane sash. The roof has coped gables and shaped kneelers, with chimney stacks at both ends and a ridge stack that has top bands. The right return features a partly-glazed 4-panel door set in a flush surround. There is also a one-storey pent outshut attached to the left return.

An attached rear wing has had its sashes replaced.
