Description
Church Farmhouse is a large farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of random coursed rubble stone and features a stone slate roof with two brick stacks at the right end and one at the ridge. The building is a long single range with two rear wings, standing two storeys high with an attic.
The facade has five windows, which are 16-pane sashes set in flush stone reveals with large stone lintels, except for the left-hand side where there is a twin 8-pane casement. On the ground floor, there are three 16-pane sashes, along with a 3-light eight-pane casement in the first bay from the left, and a door with six flush panels in the fourth bay, accompanied by a small side-light in a flush stone surround. The attic features five gabled dormers, each with paired metal casements.
