Description
Preston Place is a former vicarage and detached house built in 1818 by William Bridges of Cirencester. The building is constructed from coursed and dressed rubble stone and features a hipped stone slate roof with renewed stone lateral stacks. It has a square shape and stands two storeys tall.
The façade includes three windows with 12-pane sashes set in shallow reveals, and there is a central projecting square bay topped with a hipped roof. On the ground floor, there are triple sashes with 4/12/4 panes flanking the central bay, which contains half-glazed double doors, a plain fanlight with a decorative shaped top, sidelights, and a plat band above. To the left of the main entrance, there is a projecting square bay added in the late 19th century, and a conservatory is located on the right-hand return.
