MIDDLETON IN TEESDALE B6282 (North side) NY92NE 15/92 Milestone 200 metres east of track to Stanhope Gate II Milestone. Probably early C19. Painted ashlar. Square block c. 0.8 metre high with low domed pyramidal top. Set diagonally to road. Inscriptions EDGE 8½ on west and MIDN 1½ on east faces.
