Description
This milestone, located approximately 100 metres west of the track to Heather Lea, is likely from the early 19th century. It is made of painted ashlar and stands about 0.8 metres high with a low domed pyramidal top. The milestone is set diagonally to the road and features inscriptions reading "EDGE 7½" on the west face and "MIDN 2½" on the east face. There is also a small square cut out below the inscription on the west face.
