Description

This is a limekiln located about 100 metres west of Allercleugh Plantation, southeast of Middle Whitestones Farm. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed with thin courses of dry stone walling. The structure features a round arch in the wall, with left and right returns that fade into the bank. The interior is corbelled.
