Description

This limekiln, located about 100 yards west of Shellbraes Farm, dates from the early 19th century. It is constructed from dressed stone and features three tall triangular corbelled arches, each with two small round drawing arches. The structure is flanked by curved wing walls, and there is a stone-lined pot situated in an artificial mound behind the kiln.
