Description

This limekiln, located approximately 300 yards south of Birtley Hall, dates from the 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from dressed stone and features two round arches, which are flanked by wing walls. Each side has two sloping buttresses. A stone lime pot is visible and remains intact.
