Birtley Castle is a ruined castle located in the garden of Birtley Hall in Northumberland. It was granted a licence to crenellate in 1307 and is believed to have been dated 1611 above the door. The structure is made of roughly dressed stone and features fragmentary remains, with parts of two walls standing approximately 7 feet tall. There is one slit window with a dressed-stone surround, which is widely splayed on the inside and has an old wooden lintel. The south-west corner of the castle is rounded.
