Description
South Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached former byre, now part of the house, dating from the 17th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of random rubble with ashlar dressings and features a Welsh slate roof.
The early 19th-century house is two storeys high and has three bays, with a 20th-century glazed door and 16-pane sash windows. The former byre to the left has a 20th-century door set in a 17th-century chamfered surround with a flattened Tudor arch, along with 20th-century 16-pane sashes.
The gabled roof is topped with two stone end stacks. At the rear, there is a 20th-century Georgian-style doorcase and early 19th-century 16-pane sashes. The rear of the former byre features a doorway with a flattened Tudor arch.
Inside, there is one very thick wall, and the byre walls are also thick.
