Description
The wall of Nos. 14 and 15A is approximately 6 meters high and constructed from partly coursed local red sandstone and conglomerate rubble, with freestone dressings. To the right, there is a small square crenellated turret that slightly checks back for the main stretch of the crenellated wall running to the left. The wall features a single pointed pedestrian arch with an ironwork gate leading to No. 15A, along with a projecting plinth. The left end of the wall, which is part of the garden for No. 14, steps down to meet No. 14 at the corner of Castle Lane. An inset carved and corbelled panel matches the late 19th-century detailing of No. 14. The wall spans the entire distance between Nos. 14 and 15 and rises to the height of their eaves. The interior face of the wall has not been seen.
