Description

The Catholic Church of Ss Julius, Aaron & David is constructed from coursed grey lias rubble with freestone dressings and features a red plain tile roof that was replaced in the 1990s. The building is oriented gable end to the street and includes a west porch, nave, and chancel. The presbytery, known as The Priest's House, is adjacent but stands separately from the church.

The small porch has a pointed arch doorway with plank doors and a gable cross. On either side of the porch, the nave gable features a small arched light, and the gable is topped with a corbelled, gabled bellcote that houses a single bell. The south wall of the church has three large 2-light windows that break the roofline under gables, with a roundel above the two pointed lights. The north wall has two 2-light windows, the ones closest to the street. The chancel is not visible from the outside but includes a window on the south wall and a 2-light east window with cusped headed lights and a trefoil above.

Inside, the church has a plain interior with a chancel arch supported by triple colonnettes. The nave features a three-bay roof with arch-braced tie beams and two tiers of purlins, while the chancel has a common rafter roof. The furnishings are plain and have been altered in the sanctuary. There is a plaque honoring benefactor Robert Wollett of The Mynde.
