Description

This is a building in the French Gothic style, dating to the 19th century. It is constructed of grey stone laid in shallow courses, with painted stone dressings and steeply pitched slate roofs featuring bracketed eaves. The ground floor has a modern shopfront. The building is three storeys high, plus an attic. The steeply pitched, pavilion-shaped roof has a stone dormer containing two Gothic windows. On the second floor are four windows with Gothic heads. On the first floor, there is an oriel window with Gothic lights. The first bay facing Corn Street mirrors the front facade. To the right is a lower section built in the same style, with three large dormers in the attic, seven windows to the second floor, and four to the first floor.
