Description
The Old Vicarage is a building designed in a Secular Gothic style, dating from the 19th century. It has two storeys and features coursed rubble facings with freestone dressings and slate roofs. The front has paired steep gables that project to the left, while a one storey plus attic section is set back to the right. The gables are adorned with ornamental bargeboards that have punched trefoils, and there is tiled ridge cresting along the roof. The tall masonry stacks have a tapering profile, and there is a dormer head with a pitched roof to the left, while the right gable end has a half-hipped treatment.
The windows are chamfered and come in one, two, and three-light configurations, all set under pointed relieving arches. The sashes feature wide pane glazing. The porch has a steeply pitched roof located in the return angle. The elevation facing the road includes a one storey plus attic section with steeply pitched dormer heads and a ground floor splayed bay.
