Description
3 Agincourt Square is a late 19th-century building constructed of red brick with Bath stone dressings and some render, topped with a Welsh slate roof. It features a narrow one-bay gabled frontage that rises four storeys in a Dutch style, framed by giant brick pilasters. The ground floor has a late 19th-century plate glass shopfront with a double row of small panes above. The first floor includes a canted oriel window, while the second and third floors have windows framed by a rendered and painted panel. The second floor features a 3-light mullion-and-transom casement, and the third floor has a 2-light small paned casement, both reflecting a 17th-century style. The shaped gable showcases a decorative Bath stone arch that rises from the capitals of the pilasters, with a fluted keystone topped by a small triangular pediment. The steep gable is adorned with kneelers and an apex that has a small segmental pediment and a ball finial. The roof is steeply pitched and includes a tall brick stack on the right-hand wall. The rear elevation has not been seen, and the ground floor does not suggest that the building is older than the late 19th century.
