Description
25 Monkswell Road is part of a terrace of five houses, built in 1870. The exterior features unpainted render that mimics ashlar stonework, topped with a Welsh slate roof. Each house is three storeys tall and has two windows. The entrances are located on the left side, with panelled pilasters separating each house. There are decorative bands at the first floor and second floor cill levels. The doorways include part glazed doors, fanlights, and wooden porches adorned with barge boards and pointed finials. To the right of the porch, there is a canted bay window on the ground floor, featuring 3 over 3 pane sashes flanked by 1 over 1 pane sashes. The other windows are plain 2 over 2 sashes, which are smaller on the second floor. A date stone in the centre of the terrace on the second floor reads 'North Parade Terrace 1870'. The roof is plain and has six ridge stacks along the entire terrace, with blind gable ends. The rear elevation has not been seen, and the interiors were not inspected.
