Description
10 Church Street is a three-storey timber-framed building with a rendered and painted front, featuring chamfered rusticated quoins on either side and a Welsh slate roof. The narrow front may have originally jutted out, with a shopfront that suggests this former jetty. The shopfront includes a three-pane window flanked by house and shop doors, which have overlights, panelled pilasters, a low stall-riser, and a projecting fascia. On the first floor, there is a central paired two-light casement window from the mid-20th century, complete with transom lights above. The upper floor features a central sash window with three over six panes, along with a smaller casement window of a similar style positioned to the top left. The ground floor displays a timber-framed first floor that is supported by 19th-century cast iron posts. The interior was not available for resurvey, except for the shop premises, which are said to have revealed timber-framed features. The rear elevation was not seen.
