Description
7 St. James' Street is a three-storey building constructed of red brick with floor bands and a Welsh slate roof. It has a double depth plan with a central entrance. The façade features five windows that are almost flush with the wall, consisting of 6 over 6 pane sashes under segmental arches on the lower floors and 3 over 6 pane sashes on the upper floor. The central entrance includes a 6-panel door with a transom light and a hood supported on brackets. The roof is plain with narrow stacks on both gables. The rear elevation also has similar ranges of sashes, but much of it is obscured by a large Nissen type extension. Although the interior has not been seen, the building has been converted into club premises on the ground floor and flats above.
