Description

Nos. 28 and 30 Merthyr Road Local sandstone rubble walls with red brick dressings, natural slate roof with brick stack. Rectangular double depth plan with entrances on the outside of the pair. Front elevations of two storeys and cellar, two bays each. Short flights of steps lead to pedimented wood doorcases with panelled pilasters, fielded panelled reveals, rectangular fanlights and 6-panelled doors partly with fielded panels. Sash windows 8 over 8 panes below and 6 over 6 panes above. Hipped roof to pair, with centre shared brick stack. Two small forecourts with red brick dividing wall enclosed at outer ends and along street by brick walls with coping; low and slender contemporary railings with uprights with peaked finials set diamond-wise; wall to No. 30 is rendered; short flight of steps from street to forecourt on either side of dividing wall.

Return elevation has single small window on the first floor. Rear elevation not inspected.
