34 Monmouth Road

34 Monmouth Road is a two-storey building with a basement, dating from the 19th century. It is entirely rendered and painted, likely over brick, and features a Welsh slate roof with red brick chimney stacks. The building has a central entrance plan with a small rear wing on the left and is attached to No. 36 Monmouth Road on the right, while facing Station Road.

The façade has three windows, with the outer bays slightly projecting and adorned with small pediments at the eaves. A central gabled porch includes imposts and a panelled door topped with a transom light. Flanking the porch are 8 over 8 pane sash windows, which have likely been widened, and above them are 6 over 6 pane sash windows. All windows have stone cills, and the narrower ones feature architraves. The roof has a low pitch, with a gable stack on the left and another stack behind the ridge shared with No. 36.

Along the street front, there are plain wrought iron spearhead railings. The right side facing Monmouth Road has a single bay that is connected to No. 36, featuring an altered window with a lean-to roof on the ground floor and a 6 over 6 pane sash window with an architrave above. The gable end is also pedimented. The rear elevation has not been inspected, and the interior was not examined during the resurvey.
