Description

Nos. 17 and 18 Frogmore Street Stucco fronted and painted, with natural slate roofs. Double depth plan with shops below and central entrance of apartments above. Three storeys, six windows to whole, 2 + 2 + 2 , the outer pairs are set slightly forward and crowned by pediments. The centre part has bands at first and second floors. Central arched doorway with architrave with keystone and imposts, simple fanlight. This is flanked by shopfronts. No. 17 on the right has a partly late C19 one with later display windows. Recessed central entrance, slim mullions, fascia supported on double brackets. No. 18 on the left has a mid/late C20 one with recessed central entrance and curved small paned display windows, plain fascia. The first floor windows are 6 over 6 pane sashes with iron flower guards and the second floor ones 3 over 6, all in plain reveals. Cornice continued between pediments, low pitched roof largely hidden from street.

Rear elevation not inspected.

Interior not seen at resurvey except that the ground floor has no visible historic features.
