Description
Nos. 11 and 12 Frogmore Street is a building with a single painted stucco frontage that rises three storeys and features a natural slate roof. It has a double depth plan and three windows across the front. The ground floor includes early 20th-century shopfronts; No. 11 has a central entrance with plate glass display windows and a deep fascia topped with an upper stepped cornice. No. 12 has its entrance to the right and a three-light display window with slim timber mullions to the left. The first floor windows are partly obscured by the fascia of No. 11, revealing only the top four panes of the 4 over 8 pane sashes, while No. 12 features a plastic window with a 3 over 9 pane configuration. The second floor has double hung sashes with 4 over 8 panes set in plain reveals. The roof has a low pitch and a brick stack against the higher gable of No. 13. The rear walls are constructed of rubble and include a two-storey lean-to extension. The rear elevation was not inspected. It is said that the building retains oak beams and an old staircase on the second floor, but these were not available for inspection during the resurvey.
