Description
Talycoed Farmhouse is a farmhouse that consists of a reconstructed hall-house and a Renaissance block arranged in a linear range. The external walls are rendered, and the slate roof features a central axial brick stack and a projecting rendered stack with a brick flue at the southern gable end. The west front displays the former hall-house on the left with a lower roof-line and a 17th-century block on the right, which has a steeply pitched roof. The window openings have shallow stone sills and uPVC windows. The reconstructed hall-house has a 2+2+2 pane window on the first floor and a 3-pane window at ground level. The attached Renaissance block features two 3+3+3 pane windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a gabled entrance porch with rendered walls and a glazed door on the left, and a 2+2+2+2 pane window on the right. The east elevation includes a tall projecting gable of the stair wing on the left, which has a small 1-light window below and a 2-light mullion window in the gable head. The side wall to the right has a 2+2 pane window on the first floor and a 3-pane window below. The former hall-house on the right has two 2+2 pane windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a 20th-century glazed door in the center flanked by a segmental-arched window on each side, with a 20th-century inserted 1-light window on the far left.
