Description
No. 15 New Market Street is a town-house featuring a Georgian-style front, with later glazing, and is attached to buildings on either side. The exterior is roughcast-rendered and painted, topped with a slate roof and a shared brick chimney stack on the right. The house has two storeys; the first-floor windows have cambered heads and replaced glazing. On the ground floor, there are slate-roofed canted bay windows with large-pane sash windows on either side of the central doorway. This doorway is topped with a segmental-arched, bracketed hood, has an architrave, and features a six-panelled door with a glazed upper light. The walls are adorned with spikes at the corners and connect to a stone front kerb that includes iron railings and double gates, which are topped with oak-leaf and urn finials.
