Description

No. 7 New Market Street is a cottage attached to numbers 5 and 9. It dates from the 18th century and has a stucco-rendered facade with a slate roof and a brick end stack. The two-storey building has an asymmetrical frontage featuring a two-window range. The windows are 6-pane cross-framed casements, and are not original. A central left-hand doorway is sheltered by a deep round-arched hood, and the door itself features diamond glazing bars. A small forecourt garden is enclosed by low railings set between rendered piers and bounded by a kerb.
