Description

The garden wall at No. 16 New Market Street, known as The Lawns, is a high structure made of stone rubble. It features plain gate posts at the center, with the section to the right topped with blue-brick saddleback coping. The gate posts are made of squared stone and have flat coping and plinths, with a smaller pedestrian garden gate inserted adjacent to the left. The section to the left is higher and has rough stone coping. There are numerous signs of alteration and patching in the masonry throughout the wall.
