Description
The Nook is a townhouse with a Georgian-style frontage, built at right angles to number 7 and sharing the same frontage and roofline with one bay of number 11. The building is stucco-rendered and painted, topped with a slate roof featuring an eaves band and tall brick corniced ridge and end stacks. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range of 12-pane horned sashes that have exposed frames and raised surrounds, which are eared at the ground floor. The doorway on the right has a recessed six-panelled door, with the two upper panels being glazed; it previously had a semi-circular hood, the outline of which is still visible. The building has a plinth and a narrow upper sash window to the right over the door of number 11, indicating a flying freehold. In front, there is a small courtyard enclosed by iron railings with spear and urn finials and double gates. The interior has been reported as having been totally refurbished and is said to include a cellar that partially extends under number 11.
