Description

Bridge 57 is an accommodation bridge over the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal. It features a semi-elliptical arch made of voussoirs, constructed from squared, faced, and coursed stone. The bridge has a parapet with slab coping and curving abutments. The bridge number is displayed on the south face of the arch. A towpath runs beneath the bridge arch on the east side, and there is a Great Western Railway sign stating "No locomotives..." at the west end of the bridge.
