Description

Bridge 59 is an accommodation and access bridge that crosses the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal at a slight angle. It features a semi-elliptical arch made of voussoirs, constructed from squared, faced, and coursed stone. The bridge has a parapet with slab coping and curving abutments. The bridge number is located on the south face of the arch. A towpath runs beneath the arch on the east side, and there is a Great Western Railway sign stating "No locomotives..." at the east end of the bridge.
