Description
The cowhouse at Court Farm is a Grade II listed building made of dressed stone with red brick infill and topped with a corrugated asbestos sheet roof. This long ten-bay structure was originally open-fronted and served as either a cow house or an implement shed, possibly both, before being converted into a cow house when the openings were infilled. The building features stone posts with slight capitals.
Two of the bays are narrower and contain arched doorways, while the other eight bays have been infilled. Among these, three bays have double lights at the top, two have arch-headed windows, two have doors, and one bay is blind. The arrangement from left to right is as follows: AD, D, AW, W, W, AW, AD, W, B, D. The rear elevation of the building is blind.
Inside, there is a simple open roof supported by triangular sawn trusses and secondary rafters, all of which are complete.
