Description
The Former Tredegar Company Shop is a building that stands two to three storeys high. It is constructed of brown stone, although the roof covering, which was originally slate, has mostly been removed. The windows are mainly covered over. The three-storey section features a hipped roof and corner pilasters made of exposed stone. It has a three-window front that is rendered, with almost square windows on the top storey and rectangular windows on the first floor. On the ground floor, there is a central doorway flanked by a window on each side.
To the right of this section is a two-storey block with two windows, which includes large square windows on the upper level. The ground floor has two round-headed windows with voussoirs. To the left of the three-storey block is a two-storey section with six windows; some of the upper windows have yellow brick dressings, and the central two bays are finished in smooth render. This block to the left is slightly advanced and features a broad vehicular entrance. Further left, there is another two-window gabled block. There are also attached blocks at the rear of the building, positioned at right angles.
