Description
The front walls and railings at Saron Congregational Chapel are notable features from the 19th century. They include central ashlar piers topped with pyramid copings and paired iron gates adorned with spear finials. On either side of the gates, there are lengths of railings, each approximately eight metres long, which also feature spear finials. These railings are set on low rubble walls with slab copings. The structure is completed with terminating ashlar piers that have pyramid copings. There are outer flanking lengths of rubble walling, each about ten metres long. The right-hand length has a stone coping, while the left length has a rough, partly cemented coping. Additionally, there is a higher return rubble-built wall at the right end, which forms the northern boundary of the property.
