Description
The former pump house at the Dunlop Semtex Factory is a tall circular building made of concrete and faced with Pennant stone. It features a continuous low clerestory with two-light windows beneath a concrete saucer domed roof, which is covered in bitumen. The doorway facing the road has a cambered stone voussoired head. There is a continuous pre-cast concrete walkway around the base of the building, which is equipped with a metal rail. The saucer dome is designed with radiating ribs and a central oculus.
