20 Garden Suburbs

Nos 10- 20 (even - consec) Garden Suburb 2-storey terrace of six, 1-window range, cottages. The front is pebbledashed to upper floor and stone-fronted below, except for the penultimate cottages at each end (Nos 12 and 18) which have projecting bays that are fully stone-fronted in rustic rubble manner, with quoins and voussoirs. Half-hipped roof with overhanging swept eaves and red brick chimney stacks; originally with a Welsh slate roof. Leaded casement glazing with brick sills and some with cambered heads; some have modern replacements. Nos 10 and 20 to ends have small gables with 2-light windows; 4-light to ground floor beside corner entrances. The projecting bays to Nos 12 and 18 have 4-light windows to both floors; half-glazed door under bracketed hood to inner sides. These bracketed hoods are twinned with the doorways to the central cottages (Nos 14 and 16) which have taller gables and 4-light windows over splayed bays. Similar detail to single window end elevations.
